OUR HISTORY

After owning a Northeast Ohio wholesale sewing and dry cleaning supply business, we saw a need for a “serious” retail sewing shop that would sell products traditionally available only to wholesalers.  When we first opened our retail sewing shop back in 1985, we carried dress making fabrics and supplies.  While our business was successful, we immediately attracted numerous customers specifically requesting quilting fabrics.  Due to the high interest/demand, within two years we discontinued our dress making fabrics and focused exclusively on knitting, quilting, crocheting, spinning and other needlework.  Our strategy has always been to focus on market trends, and to listen carefully to the desires of our customers.  Therefore we now carry a full line of quilting fabrics, quilting notions, yarn, knitting notions, and needlework supplies.

As long as we listen and react to our customers needs, we continue to operate a successful business keeping the excitement and enthusiasm of our trade alive.  

OUR STAFF

Our dedicated staff is comprised of seven highly skilled, experienced ladies.  These ladies not only teach the majority of the classes we offer at our shop, but also run our highly popular monthly needlework groups. 

Our customers are regularly greeted by name and always get individual help within minutes of entering our store. Whether your looking for specialty yarns, knitting needles, quilting fabric, notions or want to join a class our employees are there to help you.

OUR CLASSES

We offer a wide variety of needlework classes throughout the year for various skill levels from beginner to advanced. They include knitting, crocheting, quilting (applique, hand piecing and machine), spinning and many more. Classes are offered days and evenings as well as Saturdays for those who prefer weekend activities

OUR LOCATION

Our family owned “specialty” shop is located in Northeast Ohio in the family oriented beautiful community of Cuyahoga Falls and central to the Akron/Canton/Cleveland Ohio area.  Our shop boasts 4,600 square feet of retail space and an additional 1,900 square feet of classrooms.    Our corner property is a well maintained attraction in our city and offers plenty of parking. This convenience offers wonderful accessibility for our customers from surrounding communities.  We are also handicapped accessible in consideration of our less mobile customers.  For those out of state customers planning to be in the area there are a variety of hotels and restaurants located within minutes of our shop.

STORE HOURS

Our store hours are Mon – Closed, Tues – Thur 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Fri – Sat 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Our shop will be closed the following holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
    Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. The day before these holidays we will close at 3:00 p.m.
